Families are seeking fun and relaxation. Fun driving should not be neglected, as well as safety. If the pleasure is still quiet and without vibrations, it is almost perfect.
Due to limited battery capacity, electric boats have a range problem. 20% more efficiency brings 20% more range, with higher top speed and higher acceleration.
TOWED WATER SPORTS
Water ski boats need efficient speed and a lot of thrust at the bottom. Propellers can only do that with high engine powers. We can do the same with much less power.
The coaches need to get quickly to their trainees, then slowly escort them or pull them back to marina when the wind is calm. A heterogeneous driving profile to our taste.
TAXIBOATS AND FERRIES
Passenger boats have a special requirement with their regular stop & go and operating cost sensitivity. We enable lower acquisition, operating and maintenance costs.
TENDER AND SERVICE BOATS
Above all, yacht tenders must combine the power of a working boat, the speed of a sports boat and the sophistication of a luxury boat. Exactly our strengths.
DIFFERENT KIND OF OPERATORS
Acquisition, operating and maintenance costs are in the focus of all operators. Because we do the same with 20% less power, acquisition costs are reduced due to smaller engines. Operating costs are reduced due to lower fuel consumption, and our protection from ropes, wood and stones reduces maintenance costs.
Blue-light organizations have their focus on “saving and protecting while not endangering lives.” Rescue missions need higher top speed, better drivability and constant operational readiness. Furthermore, covered rotating parts are mandatory for diving operations. When erecting oil booms, high and well-dosed thrust is required.

ALL TYPES OF PROPULSION SYSTEMS
The Hydro Impulse can be integrated into any system via interfaces. In the case of the shown electric outboard, the underwater part was exchanged via an interface.
COMBUSTION ENGINES AND ELECTRIC MOTORS
Different performance and consumption characteristics influence the efficiency of the entire system. The Hydro Impulse can be optimized for different needs.
(MULTI) HULLS AND HYDROFOILS
Further efficiency can be gained by deeper integration into the hull through interaction between the Hydro Impulse and the hull (foils).

WHY WE DO THIS
A component with 40% to 60% efficiency like the marine propeller would not stand a chance in other industries. Especially since turbofans in aviation operate at over 80%. Build on our experience and knowledge we are closing this gap. And of course, we are technicians and entrepreneurs, and love the sun and the sea!
WHY WE CAN DO THIS
We have experience with this technology since 1999, initiated first projects in aeronautics in 2007 and introduced a current market leader for model flight in 2011. In 2019, we intensified our work on the Hydro Impulse, tested the first prototype in 2020 and established the Hydro Impulse Systems GmbH in 2021.
WHAT WE FOCUS ON
We focus on the integration of the Hydro Impulse into various propulsion systems. For full potential we consider the interaction between and also integrate the Hydro Impulse into the hull. For special cases, such as world record runs, we develop performance parts and thus constantly expand our portfolio.
